Character History

At 5 years of age, Kai was first discovered walking the streets of Gongaga alone after a terrible accident befell her parents. Little did she know, her family was marked by the company when reactors were first built due to the instability and lack of safety when working and approaching the Mako. She was taken to Shinra HQ by a small group of lab workers. Due to her genetic code, she would undergo human/animal genetic testing to see if it were possible to create a super SOLDIER that not only possessed the strength given by Mako, but also to attribute animalistic qualities to create a more powerful weapon in combat.

After the success of Sephiroth, being born of Jenova, Professor Hojo would use the girl to expand his research. While most unethical, she would prove to be a high success story for him and allow him to keep his funding. At only the age of 10, she would have her first combat with a SOLDIER, nearly masking him before being pulled back. With a sadistic grin, Hojo, after instruction to train her, began using various forms of torture to give her a sick form of Pavlovian conditioning to act and move on command.

27, she dreamed of a day when she would not be called forth into combat to help train and hone the skills of new SOLDIERS. Her body marked with scars and her spirit nearly broken, she vowed freedom and revenge for what has happened to her.

After the fall of Shinra, the protection from the planet, and the cleansing of geostigma, she got a job working for Shinra again, this time as a Turk. She has and will always be loyal to Shinra.

She is half wolf and human hybrid. When enraged her blue Mako infused eyes will become yellow and her ears, tail, and fangs become apparent. She can use weapons when available, but generally uses her claws which remain out regardless of mood. She is well versed in Katana use and mix martial arts.

The pair had an unusual start. Kai was not actively in pursuit of him, but the more she learned the harder she fell. Lucas was kind and gentle, bratty and loved to tease her. Regardless of it all, she was smitten. Now they are inseparable. If any harm befalls him, she will not hesitate to take you down.

Strong and able bodied, Luke has always been there to care for Kai. They both struggled with Hojo experimentation, yet he somehow found his way out. Through the Turks mission, they found each other. Together they are an unstoppable pair. Her heart belongs to him and she will fight to protect him with all she has.

This unlikely Duo became friends thanks to work. Turks should always have each other’s back and these two are no different. Though Kai is new, Rude was there to welcome her easily and gave her the feeling of being welcomed. Their friendship extends into missions, as well as meals. She would stand up for a fellow Turk, but especially if they were friends. Don’t mess with her friend group.
